Reddit Outage #

Reddit’s website experienced an outage on Wednesday afternoon as numerous users encountered difficulties accessing the platform. This disruption was observed primarily just before 3 p.m. Both the website and the mobile app were impacted as users found themselves unable to connect.

Efforts to resolve the issue began promptly, and by 4 p.m., an update confirmed ongoing work to address the outage. Reddit had previously reported a performance issue on its website on November 5, which coincided with the United States Election Day. Although the issue was swiftly identified, resolution took several hours. Reddit, with its 73 million daily users and over 100,000 active communities, continues to address these performance challenges.
